Very slow service, the food was alright. Still took forever and was overpriced for the quality of food/service received.

We stopped in on the way to Grand Marias. I had chicken noodle soup and it was wonderfull. Mom had cheesy broccoli and she loved it. Jim got chili cheese fries, it was enough for 6 people. Ed got the sampler platter. All the food was tastey. We will eat here again.

Great family restaurant. In town on vacation and would definitely go back

Oh, if only I could give zero stars. There was a line to the door waiting to get in to eat in the tiny restaurant part, and we only wanted to get food to go, so we went over to the bar side. My fiance is black. He got a lot of stares from patrons but we were flat-out ignored as we waited at the bar to be helped. A regular customer (he seemed) asked about a drink refill after we arrived at the bar and was promptly served while we stood there. My fiance was standing in an empty spot at the bar, so it was obvious he was standing and waiting and waiting. Our daughter and I were next to him and I could see the bartender, (doing all he could to avoid helping us; wiped the bar, got the guy the drink) so I know he could see us. Everyone else sure did. Three out-of-towners that should have stuck out were just plain ignored. The couple outside were cool. Surely also not from there. This place was recommended by the couple who own the Fox River Motel a few miles away, which was funny because she told us her daughter works at the place across the street from the motel.

This place seems to be really popular with the local loggers. I can understand that, as the portions are really large. However the food is very plain. Salad bar consisted of iceberg lettuce and ten or so toppings. Burrito was ground beef in taco seasoning wrapped in a tortilla, covered with cheese, served with raw tomatoes and onions. If you like simple food, go for it.
